UPDATE!!
Jeremy was adopted after being with us for about 6 months!! Congratulations to little Jeremy and his new mom, Jean. He will be sharing his new home with another chi type dog and two big cats — now that should be interesting!!!

Jeremy is a very small dachshund and chi mix, about 5 to 6 years old.  He arrived at the shelter as a stray so we don’t know anything about his past, but people might not always have been very nice to him, as he is very shy about letting someone who he doesn’t know touch him. It doesn’t take long for him to come around, though; it took less than a minute before he decided to jump up into his new foster mom’s lap.  Jeremy is very affectionate after he warms up.  He is quiet, barking only when there’s a reason.  He is housebroken and loves the doggie door. He doesn’t have to be encouraged to use it — even in cold weather! One of his favorite things to do is to race to the human bed after he has had his breakfast, and take another snooze.  You will always know where he might be — just go look for the lump in the bed.  He is very good with the other dogs living in his house.  Jeremy would be a great little dog for a calm, quiet home, where he is given the time and space to accept people when he feels it is safe to do so.  Will you be Jeremy’s valentine, and give this little guy the forever home he deserves? Jeremy is our valentine of the year, and we’re reducing his adoption fee to $95 to get him home
