Mickey – ADOPTED!!!

Howdy! I’m Mickey, a 13-year-old, red, with some distinguishing gray of course, smooth, neutered, tweenie sized male. My long body is low to the ground and I do believe I’m as handsome as you’re thinking I am. So, hats off to us! I used to live with a bunch of doxie brothers but my owner surrendered some of us to NMDR and my foster family has really been there for me. I tell ya, it was quite a shock but they say I’ve adjusted well. My daily thyroid meds are working and I’ve lost some weight. I’ve also had some dental work and because I lost some teeth I enjoy soft food or hard food softened with water. I feel better all around so my sweet lovable side will charm ya. At least that’s what I’m told. Thing is, though, at my age and given what I’ve been through, my nerves are a little worn out so I prefer adult humans to kids. Oh yeah, and I’m not sure about cats yet, but other canines are dandy if they are calm rather than rowdy or rambunctious. I can’t stand pesky troublemakers and I’ll bark to let you know when I’ve hit my limit. You know, I’ve heard of these doggie door things but can’t recall using one. I’m sure I could learn though. I know what a leash is for and currently I like to go outside only if a human companion is with me. I’ve had a few missed pottying outside opportunities so patience with me is kindly appreciated. I’m sure after I settle in with a little consistent guidance and direction at my new furever home I’ll be able to manage the pottying outside thing better. Hey, I’ll sleep where you’d like me to except I prefer anything to a kennel. I hope I’ve wrangled your attention and that you’re thinking I’m the grandfella for you and your family. I am being fostered in Albuquerque and my adoption fee is $200.Mickey -1
