My name is Sammy. I’m a black and tan miniature dachshund, ten years old, weighing in at 10.2 pounds. I’m real laid back, get along well with other dogs, and really love being around humans. I like lots of attention and being a lap dog. I know how to use a doggie door to do my thing outside, but prefer to be inside with my human friends. I sleep all night in a doggie bed along side my foster parents bed. I’m up to date with all my shots and heartworm negative. I recently saw the vet to be neutered and have some dental work done. My teeth were really bad and I lost most of my front teeth. I have a hard time picking up my food to eat but am learning to adjust. I feel a lot better now.
My running mate, Copper, and I were an owner surrender. They had to move to California because of health reasons and could not take me with them. They were really sad to have to leave me behind but I’m ready to find a new family to love. I need a home with no small children and someone to just love me. I’m being fostered in Farmington and my adoption fee is $200.00.
