Jake – ADOPTED!!!!

Meet this fabulous little guy, Jake, or possibly Jolly Jake would be more in tune with him.  He is a one year old total love bug, Mr. Happy would fit him perfectly, and he is definitely King of the Kisses — every 10 minutes wanting another go around of affection.  Jake is considered a long hair with his beautiful chestnut coat — his mom was a short hair, and dad a long hair, but he has inherited the longer coat, not as long as a true long hair, but long enough to be drop dead gorgeous.  He is so cheerful all the time, loves to play, his favorite past time at his foster mom’s so far is to tear up a magazine.  He came to our rescue group as an owner surrender from one of our cities on the eastern side of New Mexico.  His big fault in his prior home was that he chased chickens (and sometimes caused them a demise), and that is why he was given up by former owners.  On that note, possibly he could not be trusted with cats.   Jake gets along beautifully with the other dogs in his temporary home, he is using the doggie door, appears to be quite well housebroken but early morning hours before “mom” gets up, he has trouble waiting and has left some “piles”.  Jake has also been neutered, has his rabies and other necessary shots, is microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and is “good to go!”.  Because of his level of activity, it would be ideal if he could find a home with children who are eight and above, someone who will play and play with him and keep up with his energy, plus take him for walks.  He is such a cordial little guy that at first sight, you would fall in love with this bundle of joy.  He is being fostered in Albuquerque, and his fee is $325.00.   And he is waiting for YOU to find him.
