Mayer – ADOPTED!!

Introducing Mayer, the other half of the Murphy-Mayer duo, who came to NMDR from the city shelter as a stray.   Since we don’t have any information of any sort on his background, we don’t know if he is a brother to Murphy, or if it is a father-son duo.   Mayer is a very sweet  1 to 2 year old male, somewhat more laid back than Murphy is, but still energetic, and curious about everything in his surroundings.  He weighs 13 to 14 lbs., is very slender and beautiful in his appearance, having a long body and a very pronounced snoot, more so than most doxies.   He has some black overlay on his back, and also sports a white blaze on his chest plus a small tip of white on one of his front paws.  He likes to play, and in one of his photos, it will show him with a piece of newspaper that he found in his Mom’s yard, drug it out of the bushes and immediately sat down to have a tearing apart session.  He is very good with the other dogs at his household and shows no indication of aggression.    He is doing really well on showing signs of being  house broken and is starting to use the doggie door whenever the patio door is not open.  He has been neutered (as all our dogs are before being placed), is up to date on all his shots and is heart worm negative.   He is also microchipped.  Mayer is truly a sweetheart, and you would fall in love with him.   He is being fostered in Albuquerque and his fee for his young age is $325.
