Introducing Murphy, a beautiful dark red male who is 1 to 2 years old.  He and his “partner” Mayer were brought into the NMDR rescue from our city shelter, the two were picked up as strays.   We don’t know anything about their background, it could be that Murphy and Mayer are brothers, but they may also be father and son.   At any rate, Murphy is one gorgeous boy, he weighs approximately 15 lbs., has a long dachshund type of body and a long nose which makes him about picture perfect.   And I might add, those floppy ears are so soft to the touch.   He is full of action, has perfect “hearing” in that any slight noise he is quick to investigate.   Loves to play with a chew toy, but is also content to take that perfect doggie nap in his crate.  He appears to be quite well housebroken, is learning to use the doggie door, and also obeys his foster mom’s commands when she says “no” to whatever at the moment.   He gets along very well with the other dogs that are in the household, altho he is a bit possessive of that favorite chew toy.  And he seems to think he has privileges of cuddling next to Mom during the night time hours.  Murphy is up to date on all shots and is heartworm negative.   He is being fostered in Albuquerque and his fee is $325.   If you are looking for that picture perfect doxie, he just might be the one.
