Dawson – ADOPTED!!

This is Dawson, a most handsome brindle piebald (quite unusual) that entered our rescue program in mid December.  He is an owner surrender thru the city shelter.  Dawson is the most congenial dog you could ever find, so mellow and quiet, quite the couch potato if you let him.  He is 6 to 7 years old, we aren’t really sure of his age because the dear sweet boy had to lose 12 teeth while still at the shelter, and therefor makes it a bit harder to determine age.  He is very muscular in build, very strong, but weighs only 14.5 lbs. for his build.  He also had a cherry eye which was surgically taken care of, and is responding well to medication to treat any inflammation.  He is neutered, up to date on his shots, heartworm negative and is microchipped. He is learning about this “going outside” business with a doggy door and staying out there to do what he is supposed to do.    There is a story behind his being relinquished to the shelter, which his foster mom does not want to relate in his write up to protect the former owner, but would be very willing to infom any potential adopter of his circumstance.  He is being fostered in Albuquerque, and his fee, because of his coat coloration, will be $300.   You can meet Dawson at our up-coming adoption event scheduled for     at the Petco on San Mateo and Academy.  He would love to meet you, as well as would any of our other dogs available at that time.
