Linus – ADOPTED!!

Hi everybody!! My name is Linus and I’m a miniature, short haired white and red piebald male Dachshund, about 15 pounds.  I am just over 8 years old: started out in Texas, brought to Colorado, where my elderly owner passed away late last fall.  Their adult children tried to keep me, but their busy lifestyle traumatized me.  I’m is used to a quiet and secure home, with someone to hold me on the couch, nap in the afternoon, and allow me to sleep in the bed beside the human bed at night.  Use the doggie door, and loves to explore the backyard.  I was neutered early in  life, and has recently had some dental work to pull several rotten teeth.  I’ve received some vaccinations, and am heartworm negative.  I know my name, and once I adjusted to my current foster home, I come when called.  I need a sedentary person who will be with me on the couch, where I am an excellent companion.  I’m always ready to head outside, and I’m is good on a leash.

Does not bark, but will whine if he feels abandoned.  Probably would do best with quiet, older adults.  Linus is being fostered in southern Colorado and his adoption fee is $300.
