Oscar ADOPTED!!!

Hi, everybody, I’m Oscar! I’m about 8-years old, and a 10-pound red miniature dachshund. A ‘Myer Weiner’ in every way…long, low and ready to be your forever Hallo-weenie. I am a very distinguished gentleman loved by all…except the kitties of the world. I am obsessed with them, and while I’d like very much to have a cat to chase, no one else seems to think that that’s a good idea. The other things that I love-love-love are chew toys and treats, and I like to enjoy them in a crate or otherwise separated from my dog family. That way, I don’t have to be on guard and worrying that they’re going to take them away from me.

Now that we have my quirks out of the way, let’s talk about my many good points! I walk well on a leash and love to be walked. Upon hearing the word walk…I will pick-up his leash and carry it around. I also love to hold it in my mouth with you on the other end at the beginning of the walk. Can you say ‘car rides’? I love those too. Any opportunity to get out, sniff the air, see the sights and potentially get scratches from my adoring fans. I do well with other dogs, but meeting them one at a time is easier for me. I spent the day at my foster mom’s clinic and everyone told me that I behaved perfectly — a therapy dog in the making! Need a security system? My bark sounds like I’m an 80-pound dog. But don’t worry, I just want to see what’s going on. I’ve learned the sit command and I’m very trainable.

My perfect home will be a place where I can be a Velcro dog to a family who loves me. I would love nothing more than to snuggle up next to you in between snacks, walks and play time. I would also love a human to sleep next to at night, and I promise that I’m a quiet, snuggly bed companion. If you are looking for a hilarious and loving ween…I’m your man! My adoption fee is $625 (a steal, since my vet care expenses were a lot more than that!).
