Hello, my name is Gracie Lou.  I’m a standard Black and Tan Dapple doxie girl and I’m about 7 years old.   My previous, elderly owners fed me a lot, and I weighed 40 pounds when my Foster Mom got me last February.  Since then I have lost a lot of weight, and am now down to 25 pounds, although the vet says I need to lose a bit more.   I feel a lot better and love to go for walks, especially if I can stop and dig for little critters–being a true Dachshund.  My teeth are good, all shots, spayed years ago.  I love all people and kids, snuggling on the couch, sleeping quietly in bed, but don’t like the doggie door.  I will let you know if I need to go out, and NEVER do anything in the house.   I do like my chewies and toys, and will guard them from other dogs, although the rest of the time I like other dogs.  Sure would like to have my own humans to love, and maybe they can help me lose these last few pounds.   Please contact NMDR for an Adoption application.
