Are there areas of specialty that you would like to undertake in rehabilitating a dachshund such as aggressive, potty training, socialization, paralysis, allergies, heartworms, holistic practices, and so on? If so, which ones are you already skilled in versus those that you would need training in order to do?

Are you involved in any dog sports, dog assisted therapy, conformation showing, field events, earthdog, obedience, agility, or other special activities? List if so.

New Mexico Dachshund Rescue of North America, Inc. is not a membership organization, but rather an organization of volunteers. Nevertheless, NMDR has certain policies and procedures that must be followed. NMDR is a 501c3 non-profit corporation so your volunteer expenses such as mileage, food for fosters, telephone bills for rescue business, and so on are tax deductible. Consult your tax advisor for specifics on this issue. Volunteers accept liability for personal injury or damages caused by a rescue dog. You may wish to consult your insurance agent with any concerns.
