Hi! My name is Prince. I came to my NMDR foster home in Albuquerque from Roswell, where I was picked up as a stray. No one knows for sure how old I am, but I’d say I’m around a year old or so. I am dachshund mixed with chihuahua, so a chiweenie, and I’m red and brown with short, smooth hair. I weigh 10 pounds. I’m whip-smart and a bundle of puppy energy and love to play. When I tire myself out, though, there’s nothing I’d rather do than fall asleep next to my person.

I’m potty trained and am currently using a doggie door. I love being able to go in and out all day long. I’d really like to be taken for walks to expel my energy because I’ve got a lot of it. I also enjoy playing with other dogs and really want a home where I can be part of a pack. My foster mom does not know if I can be around cats, so a home with no cats is preferred.

I love to sleep on top of covers in bed with my person, and by the way, I give fantastic hugs and kisses. I have shown a little food aggression with my foster sibs but I respond to redirection well and am open to being trained. I just learned how to sit and am still working on doing that consistently when asked.

I will be ready to go to my new furever home after June 7, 2023, when I will have completed all my vetting, including getting neutered and microchipped. I’m being fostered in NE Albuquerque and my adoption fee is $625.
