Hello, my name is Shiloh, I am six years old, a smooth coated B&T boy, about 20 lbs.  Not sure what happened to me, one day I was in my previous home and finally killed that annoying parakeet, which any good dachsie would have done.  My former parents were horrified and took me to the local animal shelter and left me!  The kind people there called NMDR to come and get me, and then I went to a really great foster home with many other dachsies to play with, and no parakeets.   Shortly thereafter, I went to the vet to get “tutored”, a few teeth pulled, and some shots.   My foster Mom loves to have me cuddle next to her at night in bed, and we spend a lot of time on the computer, typing away, and then we sleep on the couch.  I like all the other dogs here, although I don’t like to rough-house and play, but am a more sedate and calm fellow.  I have a small hunch in my back, and therefore don’t jump, so having little stairs and ramps to get on and off of furniture is important–for all dachsies–but me especially.   I bark to go in and out, have not figured out that doggie-door yet, but don’t do anything in the house.  I also like to bark at those pesky birds in the yard–will get me another one if I can.  If you want a handsome and loving gentleman in your calm life,  my adoption fee is $275.
