Hickory – ADOPTED!!!

Hello!  I can’t tell you my name, because I was picked up as a stray and had no collar or microchip with my name on it.  The shelter people called me Hickory, which I do not know as my name, so maybe my forever owner will give me a good new name.   I am a lovely white and tan Piebald, or Pinto, as my foster mother calls me.  At the shelter they were very good to me, as I needed a lot done: a few of my teeth had to go because they were rotten and infected, and the ones left are now nice and clean.  I also lost my boy dog parts, got a microchip, several shots, and a heart-worm test that was negative.   I weighed in at 10 pounds, and am about 9 years old.  I get along fine with the other 11 dogs here, sleep on the bed all night, am figuring out the doggie door, do not mark in the house, am good at sharing food, and not aggressive in any way.  I am mostly blind, thanks to the recessive gene that gave me my coloring, but that does not deter me from getting around the house and yard just fine.  I find my way onto the couch and bed using the doggie stairs, and locate the food and water bowl with no problems.  If you let me, I will cuddle with you on the couch for hours.  I have been told I am absolutely a sweetheart, and deserve a wonderful, loving home to call my own.  Please contact NMDR for an adoption application; I’m being fostered in Southern Colorado and my adoption fee is $275.
