Baxter is a 5 year old black and tan tweenie dachshund.  He weighs 19 pounds and should lose some weight to 16 pounds according to the vet.  Baxter becomes startled in his current home when children grab him unexpectedly and growls.  He has even tried to nip.  He has never done this with adults or when he sees it coming and it only happens occasionally.  Therefore, he needs to go to a home with no small children.  He is house trained, knows how to use the dog door, and walks well on a leash.  He gets along well with all dogs and cats.  He loves people very much.  He is up to date on all shots, neutered and ready to go.  He is papered with the AKC.  He is still with his family in Farmington but caneasily be transported to the Albuquerque area.  Baxter’s adoption fee is $100.
