Scooter is a 10yo red smooth male dachshund. He is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all his shots. He has recently had his teeth cleaned also. He is housetrained and great with cats, kids, and other dogs. All this sweet little boy needs is attention… and a diet! He is currently 18lbs and should weigh around 11lbs. His foster mom has put him on a diet and exercise plan and he will soon be fit and trim! Scooter knows how to use a dog door and is good on a leash. He really loves his walks and soft squeaky toys. Scooter ended up in rescue when his elderly owner died. He lost his mom first and then lost his dad 8 months later. Scooter is used to having human companionship almost all day and doesn’t like to be left alone for long periods of time, so he would do best in a home where his family is home most of the time or can take him with them when they go somewhere. Please consider giving this older gentleman a home for his twilight years, he really only wants someone to love and pet him, he is a very sweet boy.
