HI! These guys are Lieutenants Worf and Barclay. Barclay is a dachshund mix, most likely a chiweenie. And Worf is probably a mix as well, though with what is undetermined. They are a bonded pair and do everything together, even eat from the same bowl at the same time!
They are total cuddlebugs and snugglers. They love to be in your lap when you watch TV. Barclay even watches TV! (He’s especially fond of cat videos on YouTube.) They also snuggle in with you at bedtime. Stairs to up on the bed are a good idea for Worf’s wee dachsie legs.
They play well together, with other dogs, and with humans. They especially love small balls, squeaky toys, and to run and chase foster mom’s RC car, though they’re not so great at “fetch” yet. They’re also learning to walk on leash. They’re fast learners, so it should take no time at all for them to be good on lead. For example, it only took a couple days for them to learn their new names.
Though they’re initially very fearful of new situations, they do settle in well once they feel safe. They’ve learned to enjoy car rides and adventures (such as Petsmart and the Farmer’s Market) but mostly they love to nap, snuggle, and play!
They will need additional potty training. There are other dogs and a doggie door at foster mom’s, so pottying has not been much of an issue, but accidents have happened. They both have some submissive urination issues (as a response to fear or anxiety) but not when happy or excited to see you. They have been neutered, current on their shots and heartworm negative and microchipped.
These guys are looking for their forever home where they can be together and snuggle with you! Easy going and adoring, Worf and Barclay have no issues with other dogs but cats are an unknown. These love bugs are ready to be with you.
They are some what of a bonded pair, but can be adopted separately. They are being fostered in Albuquerque and their adoption fee is $425 each.
