Meet Buzz and Woody, the greatest dachshund duo around! These best friends came to NMDR after their owner passed away, and family members felt NMDR would find them the best home that they both deserve.
Buzz is a male, red long-haired pure dachshund, around 9 years old. Even though Buzz is the quieter and possibly more shy guy in the pair, Buzz absolutely loves being petted and loved. Buzz will be sure to voice his opinion when he thinks someone is loving on Woody more than him.
Woody is a male, brown/tan dachshund mix, around 6 years old. He is always happy and his tail wags so much and so often, you would think he would be tired out! Woody loves to play fetch with tennis balls or other soft squeaky toys and is always sure to lay next to his human when taking naps.
Both boys are very healthy, but a bit overweight, which is easy to happen with dachshunds. They are on a very strict diet at their foster home, to include no human foods or extra helpings. Both boys are neutered and up to date on their vaccinations. Once their veterinarian reopens after stay at home orders, their records will be made available.
Buzz and Woody are both excellent with other dogs that are in the foster home and are very child friendly. They are housebroken and understand basic commands, such as “Off” and “Enough”. They are the first to greet foster family members at the front door, ready to be petted and loved. One of their challenges is that both are very vocal when new people come into the house or pass by on the sidewalk, however when told to quiet down, they comply very easily.
Buzz and Woody have been together for many years and are a bonded pair. They love each other very, very much and sleep together at night quite frequently. These two dogs are a complete joy and they are nothing but happy and always ready to share love with humans. They will be sure to fill any home with lots of snuggles, kisses and lazy naps.
Buzz and Woody are a funny, loving and very happy pair that will make the perfect addition to any home. They are being fostered in Albuquerque and the adoption fee for the pair is $500.
