Daisy – ADOPTED!!

My name is Daisy and I am a very fun loving Dachshund mix. I am young, only between 1.5 and 2 years old, and I weigh a healthy 16 lbs. I have the longer Dachshund body and face, but longer legs. My colors are black, tan and a little bit of white on my chest.

I came to my foster home as an owner surrender, due to my owners divorcing and moving away. I am pretty skittish when you first meet me, I will bark a lot if I don’t know you. But, once I get that chance to know you, I will be sure to fill your face with kisses.

I am in a foster home with a bunch of other dogs, some dachshunds, and a couple other bigger mixed breeds. I enjoy all my dog foster brothers, as they make the best playmates. I also live with a child who is 7 years old and I love to show him tons of affection.

I am full of energy, and enjoy chasing after my toys or running around the backyard with the rest of the pack. I am fully crate trained and enjoy sleeping in my crate all night. I am also fully housebroken and know some basic commands such as sit and stay. I have not shown any aggression to my foster family, to include food aggression. When you come home from a long day at work or even from a quick run to the store, I’ll be the first to run to the door and greet you with kisses.

While I am scared of humans when I first meet them, I am very loving and loyal. I show no preference between males or females, I just want someone to pay me attention and give affection. I enjoy snuggling by my foster humans, and really would love to get constant belly scratches while you are sitting on the couch. I would love to find a forever home that will keep me active, taking me on walks or having other dogs around for me to play with.

I am up to date on all vaccinations and have been spayed. I am being fostered in Albuquerque and my adoption fee is $275.
