My name is Beau and I am a very affectionate and sweet Chiweenie (Dachshund/Chihuahua mix). I am a young boy, about 1 1/2 to 2 years old, shorthair that is reddish brown over white, with lots of freckles of color. I was very frightened when taken to a shelter, so a NMDR foster mom came for me and I relaxed as soon as she put me in her van. At my foster home I have had lots of brothers and sisters, some Dachshunds and others of different breeds, but I play and sleep near the Dachshunds, and a little girl Chihuahua. Love to sleep in the bed near my foster mom.
I have a sweet disposition (my foster mom says), I am not loud, but I am playful and like being a companion to my human. At my foster home I can go outside whenever I want and there is plenty of room to run around, so, I get my share of exercise.
I like to sit by my human and watch TV, go outside with my dog friends, eat breakfast and supper and sleep on the bed with the others. I also like to chase the neighbor’s cat out of our yard, even though he is bigger than me.
And, I love to go in the van or car. I am very good at traveling, so when anyone picks up car keys,I am right there waiting for my harness and leash. Going places is so much fun!
If you like a little dog that would sit by you, follow you, go with you anywhere, then we should meet.I can do all those things, and more. And did I mention that everyone says I am cute???
