Hello out there in Doxie land. My name is Ty and that other guy in the picture is my bigger brother Eli. Let me introduce ourselves, first of all let’s talk about me. I’m an absolutely adorable
red brindle short hair little boy and I weigh in at about 12 pounds. Eli, on the other hand is also a cute (but not as cute as me!!)  red and white piebald short hair little boy who weighs closer to 13 pounds.  We both look like we will be tweenies, which is a little larger than your typical Doxie.  We both get along well with people and we LOVE giving mountains of puppy kisses, and we get along with other dogs after the proper introduction and socialization, which is most appropriate for little gentlemen like ourselves!.  We boys are typical doxie pups and love to bark at EVERY appropriate opportunity (psss…we are working on this little challenge)  We sure love running with our foster buddies, and watching them play fetch (we haven’t quite figured that out yet).  Me and Eli quickly learned the intricacies of using the pet door and love chasing our foster brothers in and out of the back yard.  Now that we have conquered the pet door we are working on house breaking and learning to walk on a leash.  Our foster parents say we are typical puppies, learning our place in the “pack” and our relationship with each other through some good puppy play which occasionally needs some parental guidance.  Wow, that was a mouthful!!  The most important part is we are six month old Dachshund brothers who love being together whether at play, resting with our “hoomins”, or sleeping curled up together in our crate.  We came to New Mexico Dachshund Rescue as owner surrenders. Our family has to move and due to circumstances out of the their control, we cannot go with them. We are in very good health, are current on our shots, been microchipped and I heard them say we were going to “be fixed”, didn’t know we were broken!! 

These are two cute young men who will melt the heart of a real doxie family.  This is a bonded pair, so adoption to a single home will be given priority.  Their adoption fee is $300 for each of them  and they are currently being fostered in Southern New Mexico, but required transportation can be arranged for the right home.
