Hi everyone, My name is Daffy. First of all lets address my special needs. I had a seizure in my foster home on 4/5/2019 after being there for thee weeks. I heard a weird noise and got quite excited which I’m sure had something to do with it. It lasted for seven to eight minutes before I got back to normal. There are medications to help with this if they are reoccurring often. My foster dad took me to the vet and he said to just monitor me at this time to see if I have any more. He could not find any under lying cause for it. I need a home that is relatively quite and owners that aware of my problem.
Now let me tell you about myself. I’m a chocolate female longhair mini dachshund, 6 1/2 years old. I only weigh 8 1/2 pounds, spayed and up to date on all my shots. I also have a micro chip and have had dental work done. My teeth were really bad and I lost a lot of them so I’m eating soft canned dog food. I also had an injury to my tail. I’m missing some of it and the end has been broken. I’m missing a lot of hair on it also. Because of that my foster dad had the vet do a thyroid test and heart worm test. Both were negative.
I love being with my human friends, following them around wherever they go. I like being beside them while they watch TV. I will sleep all night in a crate if my human pardner is in the same room with me. I’m house broken and walk very well on a leash. I also love going for rides in the car. If you have room in your heart for a very loving dog that needs some special care please give Daffy a chance to find a forever home. She is being fostered in Farmington and her adoption fee is only $200.00
