Presley, now Parsley, has been adopted!!!

Presley Ann is one if the 9 dogs rescued from a puppy mill. She is a 6 year old, black and tan, smooth dachshund. She weighs 8.5 pounds and has had several litters in her life. Since coming into NMDR, she is now spayed, up to date on all of her shots, heartworm negative, and has had a dental cleaning. Presley Ann is still skittish around humans although she really needs lots of patient love and attention to overcome her fear of people. She is great with other dogs and knows how to use a dog door to go in and out of the house. She is still working on her house training and getting used to leashes. Presley Ann is being fostered in Albuquerque and her adoption fee is $275.

Update! Presley has gained some much needed wight and is now a gorgeous little girl weighing 11.5 pounds. Her nicknames are “Madam” and “Miss America”. She is one beautiful but mischievous dog! She will run up to her foster mom and give her fingers or toes a quick lick and then run off again before she can be pet, it seems like a new game she is really enjoying and is making great strides in overcoming her fear of humans! Presley also loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home and will greet her foster mom at the door when she returns home.
