Hi, I’m Mikoh. I’m a 7-year-old gentle fellow with a smooth black & tan coat who weighs 13lbs. My owner had to move so I was surrendered to the city shelter, then rescued by NMDR. I got to go home with my new foster mom who keeps taking pictures of me hoping to get my signature pose with my front paw held up! Doesn’t she know I’m too dignified to accommodate silly requests such as posing on demand!? Anyway, I digress. I’ve been through a whirlwind in the past week so I’m just a little reserved right now. I was neutered, at which time I was found to have an undescended testicle. Go figure! I had some dental work done which involved getting some teeth pulled so my mouth is sore right now. While I’m healing up I’m taking medication to clear up and avoid infections. I’m up-to-date on my shots, was found to be heartworm negative, and got microchipped so I’ll be back to my old self in no time. I keep going to the front door with my tail wagging hoping my foster mom will take me for a walk, but she’s waiting until all my stitches are healed. Probably good thinking! Which brings me to another issue! I know very well when my foster mom tries to hide those disgusting pills in food. Ha! I have a very discerning palate so unfortunately we are left with me taking the pills by holding my mouth open. What a pickle I find myself in! I’m not pleased but do get to feeling better after I cooperate and swallow the pill. Of course I do know to use the outside yard and not the inside floors for my business. My word! Who would think otherwise? I’m okay with other doggies and kitties too, except the kitty here in my foster home is giving me the cold shoulder. What’s up with that? I will not be deterred, though. I hope to find my forever home with folks who can appreciate a well mannered fellow such as myself. I’m being fostered in Albuquerque and my fee is $275.00.
