JJ is a two-year-old playful, happy, loving dog who came to New Mexico Dachshund Rescue after his owner passed away. His owner’s daughter and granddaughter said he’s a wire -haired dachshund mix – whatever he is, he’s 100% cute! JJ gets along great with his foster mom’s three dogs and seems to enjoy having other dogs to play and snuggle with, though he was an only dog before his owner died. He reportedly got along fine with children, and he has met his foster’s neighbor children and was patient and tolerant with them. While his owner was ill, the family reported that JJ started having accidents in the house, so he will need work on housebreaking (this could have be as a result of the situation, also). JJ is good on a leash and likes to go for walks. He is neutered, current on shots and microchipped. He loves being with his people (he was reportedly the love of his former owner’s life) and is looking for a new forever home where he will get lots of affection and love. JJ is being fostered in Albuquerque and his adoption fee is $200.
