A classic black and tan doxie mix male, ~12 weeks old February 3, 2023. Found near Los Lunas in a box along with his four siblings. Of all the pups, he has the largest patch of white on his chest. He is also the largest pup, about 7 ½ pounds, and has a medium-length tail he was born with.
Stocky and sturdy, excellent balanced body, long ears and good legs and feet. Has all his vaccinations and is chipped and neutered. Loves to play and wrestle with the pack, but will comefor snuggling when he is tired. No sign of abuse, is totally trusting and lovable. Still eating
puppy chow with milk replacer, which should be continued for several weeks more.
Will sleepfor several hours at night in the puppy pen, and then has the run of the house the rest of the day,with frequent outside visits. Runs outside with the pack to do his yard work. Cannot beconsidered house-trained yet, but has a good start. Finally, do have a goodly supply of toysavailable to save your shoes.
Chester is being fostered in southern Colorado and his adoption fee is $525.
