Meet Ginger, a nearly perfect dog! Ginger is approximately 4-years-old, and is a beauty – a classic red smooth-coated dachshund. But she’s not just a pretty face. Ginger also has a great personality – happy and playful, loving and snuggly. She is housebroken, with a perfect accident-free record at her foster home. She gets along great with her foster brother and sisters, and is reported to also do well with children. Currently weighing in at about 20 pounds, Ginger should lose 2-5 pounds to be at her healthiest weight, but she is a typical dachshund who loves to eat. Ginger has left her wild past (running as a stray across I-10 in Southern New Mexico, and having two litters of puppies in the last year) behind her and is now ready to be your perfect pet. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, and negative for heart worm. Ginger  is being fostered in Albuquerque, and her adoption fee is $275.
