Boomer – ADOPTED!!

Hi. My name is Boomer, and I’m a beautiful, neutered, microchipped, long-haired, black-and-tan dachshund. My hair was so matted when I got to the kennel, the groomer had to cut it pretty short, but it’s growing out. My foster mom is giving me antibiotics for a slight case of kennel cough, and I’m going to have my teeth cleaned soon. After that, I’ll be searching for the perfect couch potato upon whom I shall snooze and be happy for the rest of my life. My foster mom also said I’m shaped kind of like a tugboat and should probably lose a pound or two. But really… what are you going to believe? My foster mom, who wants to put me on a diet; or my eyes, which plainly declare to one and all that she’s starving me to death! I’m around 7 years old and have had all my shots. Even though she wants to starve me, my foster mom says I’m about the sweetest little dachshund she’s ever fostered and, she claims, she’s owned or fostered approximately seven million of us. I think she exaggerates a trifle. I adore people, love to go for walks on my leash, am learning the ins and outs of the doggie door, and would make a perfect pet in a one-dog family with children older than twelve or so. I’ve recently begun playing with one of my foster sisters, but I generally prefer humans to dogs. Nobody’s introduced me to a cat yet, so I don’t know about them, except… well, who’d want a cat when you could have me? My adoption fee is $275, and you can find instructions on how to adopt me here: http://newmexicodachshundrescue.org/
