Chloe – ADOPTED!!!

This young lady is a bundle of sweetness and joy.  When we obtained her from the city shelter, it was with the thought that she was a wirehair doxie.  However, upon seeing Chloe, she definitely has a dachshund body, there is no doubt about that, but her darling face gives her away as being another breed.  Possibly she is a Dandy Dinmont, as photos of that breed look just like her.  And they are very uncommon in our part of the country.    (If you don’t know the Dandy breed, it can be found on the internet and then you will readily see the similarity).  Her foster mom, being the softy she is, just couldn’t leave this dog at the shelter, no matter what, as she looked so darn cute with all that fluffy coat and the whiskers and the unruly top.  So if you are looking for a real sweetheart and don’t mind that she isn’t a pure doxie, you will want to consider letting this little gal into your heart.   She is three years old, a quiet dog in that she is not an unruly barker at just any old thing like a doxie can be, but she does go outside and make herself verbal if she feels it necessary.  Her disposition is most loving — but she was very scared and shy when foster mom first obtained her, Chloe would  have liked to have run away.  But then she realized that being in a nice home with nice couches and cushions to lay on was so much better than running the streets or getting put into a pen, and the fact she had so many playmates to pal with, that within two days she warmed up beautifully.  Now when foster mom wakes up in the morning, Chloe is right there to ply mom’s face with kisses galore.   She likes to eat whatever you are eating – a bit of a beggar, but she needs to learn to eat her own kibble. She seems to like it moistened.    She is house broken, is completely up to date on all shots, is microchipped, and spayed.  She comes with the complete package.   And being so young, she doesn’t need dental for a few years.  She is being fostered in Albuquerque, and because we don’t know her exact breed, her price would be $250.
