Mochi – ADOPTED!!!!!

Meet the newest Dachshund: Mochi. What a lover he is-he loves to sit on your lap, or sleep in a doggy bed nearby. He cuddles with our other two Dachshunds and he likes exploring the yard. Mochi is Hypothyroid and will be on thyroid meds for life. Exercise, special food, and medication helped him lose weight. He can use and fit through a doggie door and runs outside over the deck, across the yard and up the ramp and back. He came to us at over 32 lbs. in October, he was down to 25 lbs. in December and now, in March, he is a stunning 19 lbs! Mochi also has a skin condition that the vet says it due to his thyroid condition. We bathe him at least once a week with a medicated oatmeal bath and he gets so silky and shiny! Although he is not a fan of riding in the car he willingly gets in and we go to the dog park once a week which is a delight. He stays close by me (very attached) but has lately gone over to other dogs to sniff and be sniffed. Mochi is good with people and dogs and I bet he is not fazed with cats. He is mellow. Just attached and wanting love. He is neutered and up-to-date with vaccines. He had a recent dental and lost a few teeth. Mochi is 8 yrs. young. He could use a home where someone is home a good part of the day. He seems insecure and anxious when we are gone long hours, (8-10 hours a day.) You should meet him! He’s being fostered in Albuquerque and his adoption fee in $250.
